Rick Blunk is Business Manager at Three Timbers Church in Bennington and a certified Financial Planner. Along with sharing his faith story, Rick talks with Tim about how vital our view of money is to a flourishing walk with Christ. How we handle our resources as God's stewards has much to say about our relationship with God--either good or in need of growth.

 
 

Bonnie Boone

Bonnie Boone shares her story of walking with Christ throughout her life. She speaks of how Christ often draws nearest when times are toughest. A steady commitment to prayer, fellowship, and Bible reading are the foundation to growing in faith as our years increase.

Dr. Lloyd Pierre

Dr. Lloyd Pierre is the founding physician of Sancta Familia, a medical clinic in Omaha, that seeks to treat every patient as if he or she were the Lord Jesus Christ. When we read, study, and apply it to daily life, we thrive. Tim therefore shares a series entitled Spotlight Philippians: Invitation to Joy to help us grow our Christian lives.

Regina Wilson

Regina Wilson is Director of Care Ministry at Dundee Presbyterian Church. She talks about the many ways we share the love of Christ with each other when we care for one another in times of need. We can further reach out with care ministry to those outside the church to open hearts to the Good News. As Galatians 6:2 reminds us, "Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ."

DeJuan Reddick is Executive Director of The Hope Center for Kids in Omaha. He talks with Tim about how Christ reached into his life as an 11 year old kid. Since then DeJuan has traveled the world, excelled in the IT and computer industry, and practiced martial arts. Above all, he's answered God's call to reach kids and their families for the Lord.

Jill Tracey

Cohosts "Mornings with the Tracey's" with her husband Jeremy on FM 100.7, KGBI, weekdays from 6:00-10:00 a.m. Jill shares her faith story of coming to faith in Christ and then being called to radio and media ministries. She encourages authentic and transparent daily life in Christ. 

 
 

Mark Smith

Mark is Co-Pastor of Royal Assembly Church in Northeast Omaha with his wife, Dorarena. Mark also hosts "Call to Repentance" which is broadcast on AM 660, KCRO, Sundays from 12:00-12:30pm. Mark shares both his testimony and his passion for Christ's church to rise up and do God's saving work in our world.

 

Ben Blowers

Today’s college and even high school students are having their faith questioned and even attacked at a a growing rate. How do we equip them to explain Christianity and then to commend it to their peers? How do they give a reason for their hope in Jesus (1 Peter 3:15)? Ben is on staff with a mini named Ratio Christi in Lincoln that does this vital work. Listen and learn more about living and sharing your faith in challenging times.

 
 

Sue Mackrill

Sue Mackrill--is Founder and Director of Sword of the Spirit Christian School located in Papillion, NE. Sue shares the exciting story of how God prepared her and her husband, Rod to lead a school that is supported by voluntary donations with teachers who raise their salaries, as do missionaries. The vision is to provide Bible based education for students who never would have the opportunity otherwise. It's an inspiring message about living in faith and obedience to Christ. 

 

Dave Collins

Dave Collins, Pastor of Congregational Care at Lifegate Church in Omaha, shares his faith story over seven decades. Whatever decade of life you find yourself in, Pastor Dave's story will encourage your faith. Listen and grow!

 

Larry Regier

Larry Regier serves in ministry with Good News Jail Ministry at the Douglas County Jail. He talks about the powerful ways that Christ moves in the lives of inmates. He and Tim also discuss the important but difficult subject of suicide and it's prevention in American culture.

 
 

Abby Limley

Abby Limley—is a Senior at the University of Nebraska Omaha majoring in Communications and minoring in Religious Studies as she prepare to serve in Christian ministry. Abby speaks about life in the road working with university students in which she saw God at work in their lives and hers, even as he works in our lives each day. 

Eric Maynor

Eric Maynor—is a sales representative with Baxter Ford located near West Dodge Rd. near Elkhorn, NE. Eric talks with Tim about the current state of the auto industry as it faces vehicle shortages. How do we walk positively with Christ through change, challenges, and adversity?

 
 

Jeremy Tracey

With his wife, Jill, Jeremy Tracey hosts “Mornings with the Tracey’s” on KGBI, 100.7, weekdays from 6-10am. The Tracey’s play today’s best contemporary music, encourage faith, and have a lot of fun along the way. Jeremy talks with Tim about living out his faith as a radio personality, a husband, a dad, and as a Christ-follower one day at a time.

 

Tim Janiszewski

In these programs, Tim introduces a new devotional study from SGNM called "Spotlight Philippians: Invitation to Joy." The devotional series will be posted beginning on Monday, September 5 running weekdays through Monday, October 24. Each daily devotional will be about 5 minutes long and will invite you to further reading, reflection, and response to Paul's joyful New Testament  letter. Britney Scheetz is Director of Youth Ministry  at Three Timbers Church in Bennington, NE. Britney talks about today’s youth culture, sometimes known as Generation Z. She focuses how we reach the “You Be You” generation with the Good News by listening and relationship building.

Lincoln Murdoch

Lincoln Murdoch is CEO of Step Up to Life, an international ministry geared to invite people to follow Christ and to equip local churches to share the Good News. He talks with Tim about how our approach to sharing the gospel is changing with today's culture. He further shares about using our interests and hobbies as ways to glorify Christ.

 
 

JD Georlett

JD Georlett, Senior Pastor at Dundee Presbyterian Church, talks with Tim about faith, the state of the church in America, and serving as the Foreman for the Jury in a first degree murder trial that was widely publicized in Omaha. Listen and be encouraged in your faith!

Bill Bowers served in local church ministry for 52 years and continues to preach and to mentor younger pastors. Bill further serves on the Board of Directors of Spotlight Good News. Rob Quiring

Rob and Tim discuss the joy and challenges of cross-cultural friendships and ministries. We Christians are called to live for and to share the Good News with people of all nations. But we sometimes must extend our reach beyond our comfort zone to do so. The rewards however are great: new and interesting friends some of whom will put faith in our great Savior. Rob leads Spotlight English, a ministry that teaches English as a second language as a way to befriend international people and a vehicle to share faith in Jesus.

Doraena Smith

Dorarena Smith talks with Tim about the impact of investing in young women so that they can be all that God intends. She shares challenges she experienced early in life, having lost her mother at age 11 months and then having her first child as a teenager. Her experiences inspired her to found WOW—Women of Wisdom, Inc.—to help young women live wisely everyday.

Anton Reginald is Case Manager with Lutheran Family Services. His clients are immigrants coming to Omaha from dangerous places in the world. Many currently are arriving from Afghanistan with the next wave anticipated from Ukraine. Anton talks with Tim about their challenges and how the Christian community can get involved to make a difference in word and deed.

Garrett Worner

Garrett Worner is Children’s Director at Three Timbers Church in Bennington, Nebraska, and owner of Affordable Construction and Home Improvement which serves the Omaha metro area. Garrett shares his inspiring story of wandering away from his childhood faith only to return to Christ as an adult with a call to reach kids for Christ.

    In these interviews, Mike Pollock and Tim talk about the events of Holy Week —Palm Sunday through Easter—to help us walk with Jesus to the cross and the stone rolled away. Jon Driscoll appeared as a Spotlight Good News Omaha guest in Fall 2021 to talk about One Child Inc., a mission to Ukrainian orphanages that supplies coats , shoes, and Bibles. In view of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Jon updates the situation and the ways that One Child Inc. continues to provide for human needs, support refugees, and share hope in Jesus Christ.

In these two conversations, John Bueno—Director of Latins United Christian Ministries—and Tim discuss the blessings and challenges of “being the church” with unity in its core relationships and beliefs while at the same time embracing and celebrating all of its wonderful variety.

 

Scott Wollberg

Scott Wollberg is Operations Manager at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church located in LaVista, NE, with a branch campus in northwest Omaha. Scott and Tim discuss the often overlooked ministry of “keeping the lights on at church.” We only notice it when it’s not right! Scott also discusses a vital international mission to Cambodia and a new outreach to South Omaha.

Gwynne Gonnerman is Director of Donor Relations for Open Door Mission in Omaha. She talks about the great need to provide for the poor and needy in our region by lending helping hands, using our skills, building relationships, and providing financial support. Above all, we give the hope of new life found in Jesus Christ. Open Door Mission is a great ministry for those who seek to “live to serve.”

Craig Finnested

Craig Finnestad is Pastor at The Water's Edge, a church Craig helped to plant in Gretna in 2005. The church has grown rapidly as it emphasizes the Good News through community, service, and generosity of spirit. Craig discusses life in the local church and life as a pastor in these interviews with Tim.

KCRO's Jackie Mahr shares about her life in Christian radio over the past 20 years, including hosting a program, promoting churches and Christian businesses, and developing friendships along the way. She further speaks of involvement in chaplaincy ministry and service with her local church.

Debbie works with the Gretna Public Schools, enjoys time with her husband and their daughters, and serves Christ with her local church. Debbie shares about God's faithfulness through every season of life.


Abby Limley

Abby Limley is a senior student at the University of Nebraska Omaha, majoring in Communications and minoring in Religious Studies. Abby brings interesting perspective and delightful insight into living for Christ from the vantage point of a twenty year old.

 
 

Chuck Tomek

Chuck Tomek joins Tim to share about missions to South Sudan and North Uganda where he is involved with a medical clinic that serves thousands of people while sharing the Good News of Christ. Chuck tells of the powerful ways in which God has used it to change his life as he “learns to live and lives to serve Jesus.”

Stephanie Olson

Stephanie Olson, CEO of the Set Me Free Project, talks with Tim about the epidemic of human trafficking. She discusses how parents, schools, youth groups, and churches can become proactive to curb this atrocity. She further tells how Set Me Free is working educationally with public schools in Nebraska and Iowa to make a difference.

 

 
 

Mike Bunford

Mike Bunford talks with Tim about how he uses his Handyman business as a platform for serving Christ and sharing good news. He further shares how walking with Jesus has become more joyful and even fun in recent years. No matter the circumstances, God had been faithful, says Mike.
